The Accommodation

Wright's Mill Lodge is situated just 9 km from the Pacific coast in the quiet and tranquil Tahakopa Valley. If you need somewhere to relax and unwind in a peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful gardens then Wright's Mill Lodge will be the ideal place for you. Dating from the early 1900's the beautiful old house has been tastefully redecorated and features all the modern conveniences. There is a wonderful outdoor veranda complete with outdoor furniture and a barbeque for you to enjoy.

Our location is very central to all parts of the Catlins. You can be sure that one day spent exploring this fascinating area of New Zealand will not be enough. To enjoy all the experiences the Catlins has to offer you should allow plenty of time.

We have both travelled to the UK (Ireland, Scotland, Wales), parts of Asia, Africa, Australia and through many countries in Europe. We enjoyed our experiences overseas camping, backpacking and staying in guest houses. We have met some fantastic people and seen some great places.

We would like to welcome you to Wrights Mill Lodge, to stay for a while and experience the tranquillity of our unique environment.
